On this tour you can see tropical dry forest and wetlands. Before entering the Park you will see sugar cane fields and cantaloupe fields that only grow on this area of Costa Rica. When you arrive at the edge of the river, you’ll hop on board a comfortable, covered motorized boat. Palo verde is a must if you’d like to see animals in their natural habitat! The scenery and experience is also one of a kind. You will see a variety off birds, Capuchin or also referred to as “white faced monkeys, crocodiles, grasshoppers and so much more! Rincón de la Vieja is a thermal paradise
Is the largest volcano in Costa Rica. You will see impressive volcanic landscapes. It contains More than 200 species of birds. The Las Pailas or cauldrons section is a about 2,5 miles (3.5 km) or a circular path That runs through the most interesting points of the park.
It is perfectly signposted and even paved in some sections, along with natural fumaroles, bubbling volcanic mud pots, small geysers and rushing rivers. Some of the most colorful examples include emerald toucanet, motmots, keel-billed toucans, northern-barred woodcreepers, and more. Rare and exotic mammals found in the area include kinkajous, pumas.

Rio Celeste is lush jungle mountainous area and it is known for its bright blue water. Enjoy the Rio Celeste it is the Perfect combination of length, difficulty, scenery.It only takes about 35 minutes to reach the waterfall. A 5 on a scale of 1-10 as far as difficult. The first part of the hike is a nice stroll on a well-maintained trail then a concrete path and finally some stairs that takes you very near to the bottom. Sometimes fog hang over the waterfall giving that rain forest look that makes this waterfall a beautiful look.
It’s home to various species like lovely cotinga, black hawk-eagle, motmot, toucans, tailed trogon. Local legend has it that after God was done painting the sky he washed his paintbrushes in this river, hence the name, which translates to “river of the sky.” The scientific explanation says the vivid blue color is due to a mixture of sulfur and carbonate, which originates in the dormant Tenorio Volcano.

La Leona waterfall tour
Located near to the peacefull town of Curubandé in the province of Guanacaste, which sits in the at the footsteps of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. In this tour we will walk along the Rio Blanco that feeds into the La Leona waterfall.

Once you’ve arrived at our Tenorio Outpost Operations we’ll have you sign our Waiver form and tell you a little about current conditions on the river.
Your guides will then get you loaded up into our All-Terrain-Tenorio 4×4 and drive about 45 minutes across the rustic Costa Rican back roads, through gorgeous mountains and quaint villages until we reach the Tenorio River private put-in.
Your professional guides will give you a safety briefing about your rafting expedition including safety tips and technical instructions.
Now you’re ready to head out on your 2.5-hour journey down one of Costa Rica’s most famous rivers!
You’ll witness the impressive canyon of the Tenorio River along with many different types of flora and fauna – there is a unique contrast of the red rocks against the green plants that line the canyon. Your guide will try to point out birds, monkeys and other types of wildlife as you make your way through highly technical and tight rapids along the way.
